Quite a long poll this time (but a fun one nevertheless). Poll was submitted by member reanimated838uk. Choose from the list of historical moments in manga~ (Yeah, I know it's somewhat limited in choices, but oh well)
If you have your own customized favorite moment, you can discuss it here:
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=5189
Previous Poll Stats:
Question: What is your optimal manga length?
Choices:
Oneshots (Read more stories in less time) - votes: 148 (1.8%)
1-5 volumes (Fairly quick reads) - votes: 644 (7.8%)
6-10 volumes (Right in the middle is just right) - votes: 1707 (20.8%)
11-20 volumes (It takes a while to develop characters/plot) - votes: 2836 (34.6%)
21+ volumes (I love it so much that I don't want it to stop!) - votes: 2870 (35%)
There were 8205 total votes.
The poll ended: April 12th 2008
It appears we have a ton of people that just love to see the story go on and on and on...Think Naruto/Bleach/One Piece. Will these series ever end? Well, look at Prince of Tennis; it finally ended...

Well, about length of a Manga i think it should last whatever it takes for the mangaka to solve all the issues, except in the case the mangaka just creates and creates more and more pathetic tries to develop a story adding characters that just look and act the same as previous one (naruto), endlessly repeat the same battle patterns or making even the lovable characters into repulsive ones that you only to die soon enough...
about the actual poll, i think i'd chose when a real good battle takes an unexpected event, or real plot twists, not like those that you felt coming 12312313 volumes ago, but on these one poll, i think i'll go for the underdog

Ack, that's why Naruto never ended, because people like this!
Honestly, I hate it if the manga too long, I have dropped many manga because of this: Detective Conan, Inuyasha, Hajime no Ippo, etc.

As I actually buy almost all my manga instead of reading scans or getting other places (friends, library) I prefer series that aren't TOO long because it can get kind of expensive 🙂

So THAT's why loooooong mangas live -_-
Ugh. Euston, we have a problem.
As for the current poll, I lol'd at option no.4 =P
But chose 1. However it doesn't happen in Clannad o_o Or at least not all of it.
Annoying.

You should have had an option about the teary moments. Those are the parts of manga that I really love. When someone who I care about dies or loses something important to them. If a story is good enough to give me strong sad emotions, that's how I know it's good.

I'll second this. I picked the top option since it was the one most focusing on intense emotional build up.

Yes I love emotional build... up especially when the character I hate got beaten up or got rejected so finally they would get the idea and left the main character alone. ahahahhahahaha
But since the poll didn't have that option, I just chose the last option.
