What a minute... huh?

I feel incredibly stupid because I couldn't keep up with the story... I know... a one-shot shouldn't be that difficult to read... especially when it's textless, right? But... I think it's because I'm not used to seeing the art style...
Like...
How did the girl get her eye... hurt in the first place? How did it magically heal in the end? And... she got raped?! Huh? And so the wolf, I'm guessing killed the creepy old man for raping the girl? And then the villagers/creepy old man followers killed the wolf?
Sorry... someone clear up what I just read... I am seriously really sorry for not understanding what I just "read."
Same here
I've seen many times people recommend this one-shot, so i give it a try
I don't understand how...
the bandage moved from left to right eye...
I think you should read this manga from its categories
Child Abuse Fairy Tale Lynching Murder Rape Revenge Textless Web Comic
means:
It's a textless webcomic about a child who was raped then the Ookami go get revenge and murder people who abused her. And they live happily ever after.

Ok so this is what I think happened...
MAJOR SPOILERS!
One day the little girl (Little Red Riding Hood, I suppose) was playing around in the field when the wolf noticed her. I think in one page it specified how they were both lonely. Because of their loneliness, they reached out to each other and became friends. Some time later (the exact amount of time wasn't specified, obviously) the wolf witnessed the girl being raped. The wolf murdered -I guess- the old man who raped her and in the following pages you can see him weeping about the horrible sin he did. Moments later, villagers came with the intent to execute the wolf for they (somehow) figured out that the wolf killed a fellow villager. A hooded man stabs the wolf as the poor little girl witnesses the whole ordeal, all the while having flashbacks of the time they (as in the wolf and her) had together. While being killed, the wolf held a flower (from the field, I presume) until the moment he died when it drifted away. The next few panels show the village rejoicing as the little girl is in despair. For some odd reason, they decide to throw the dead wolf's body to the river (or ocean, I don't really know). The little girl, in turn, decided to go after him and she eventually drowned. Now the next few pages are confusing. One page showed the wolf carrying her bridal style so I guess he carried her to shore. The last pages showed her in the field weeping about his death.
I hope that helped 🙂
EDIT: I never really understood why the bandage switched places. Mistake? I don't know.
But about it dissapearing in the end... I only have a theory for that. See, the girl had a lot of flashbacks of their time together so I'm guessing a lengthy amount of time has passed and the wound healed naturally over time... I guess 😕
EDIT2: IMG didn't work ;____; I'm such a n00b
Whatever, here are the links

"Those phases in our lives are just an illusion; we live one long play which we just cut up into acts. Changes will happen, but it won't really end until the final curtain falls"
Wow... this was depressingly good...
I didn't get the rape part until reading what people said...
Now I'm even more sad about what happened. ;_;

You are like the dense main character in a shoujo manga.

And you will murder someone one day, pika. If you're my daughter.
Just continuing from upyours' explanation: (I cut it down and continued with what I think happened)

and here's what I think happened after that.
If you look on page 21, the villagers decided to break a wall (for a water dam, I suppose) to wash away the wolf? (They DID walk away calmly at the last and lower right panel of page 21, and they probably wanted to drown the girl too, cos' they left her). I'm guessing water overflows and the girl tries to save the wolf's BODY, so she swims after it. But then you see a big wave coming towards her in page 24 and she prepares to drown. But if you notice, the wolf awakens and saves her? So on the next page (after the wolf was carrying her bridal style) she washes ashore and goes to her and the wolf's "usual" meeting, only to find him not there and so in the end, she cries in despair.
That's pretty much what I THINK happened after the first half of upyours' explanation.
I'm pretty sure she didn't die, just left all alone.

Fisrt of all, water dam was broken by itself, villagers didn't broke it. And Little Red also went mad after lost of Wolf (its how I see the last page).

On the whole eye thing- the girl has heterochromia, meaning that her eyes are different colors (this is made obvious in some of the artist's color illustrations, but that's the point the moving bandage is supposed to make).
In the middle ages, any deformity, especially something not necessarily detrimental to a person but still markedly different, would probably result in a person being ostracized. The villagers probably treated her as though she was possessed or something, which is probably also the reason she gets sold to a brothel.

you know its only the last couple of pages that screw my mind over. hm, my theory on this story is the same as everyone elses.
little red and wolf become friends
wolf finds little red being raped
wolf kills rapist
village gets tight
wolf 'dies'
flood
wolf saves little red.
little red's sad
the end.
i was just unsure about the flood.
I'm no angel, but I'm more pure than you.

It's a sad but very beautiful story.
...and about that whole carried bridal-thing, I'd say the girl was saved by the dead wolf's spirit :/

Just read this today. My two cents on the story.
I think it started out with the little girl being abused or rather in an abusive situation (whether by her family or what i dunno) (as seen in a few past shots hence the eye bandage) when she met the wolf and found a little bit of happiness and then the wolf saw her in her situation (being gang raped if i'm not mistaken?) and then the wolf took vengeance on the vile lot etc. etc.
Didn't seem like people noticed that first part.
All in all... Can't say i really liked this "read." Why? NOTHING good happens, save the meeting of
the wolf and that's quickly rectified.
Disturbing... I don't like things that leave me feeling disturbed. The art IS good though.
But... I mean... who wants to read about ! girls being abused and able to smile cheerfully (like when she met the wolf), then getting raped, and then driven insane by loss of beloved person. The tag TRAGIC would barely cover this. Or maybe it was made for this.
P.S. This has depressed me... Now to find a happy story with rainbows, prancing glittery unicorns, and maidens in distress. Completed by knights in shining armour who arive in time to slay the evil witch BEFORE ANYTHING BAD HAPPENS!

What a minute indeed! That impressive minute will go down in history as one of man's most imperative 60 seconds on record. Second only to the minute it took me to to throw away my Tamagachi when I was 10. 🙄

ok it seems i'm the only one with this kind of interpretation, but anyway here's what i think happened :
i think the wolf represents the girl's innocence
even after she got raped, she still had a little innocence and hope left
about the villagers/people around her: i think the girl tried to reach out to them somehow, but they turned her down and ignored her calls
and thus the wolf(her innocence/hope) is demolished
the drowning part is a symbolic way of showing that she lost her innocence, dignity and youth forever
and ofcourse, she wokeup alone and realised that her life will change forever.
imo theres lots of symbolism going on in the story, dont you think its weird that a story with such a mature/serious premise would take a fantasy turn? i think the mangaka attempted at delivering the story in a much more subtle and beautiful way
oh and by the way, this story strongly reminds me of the anime movie angel's egg(both are textless and have the same theme and in both stories the girl's drowning symbolises her loss of innocence/hope)

Heres what i think what happened.
•I think the pages are "out of order" on purpose.
It starts off from when the girl is raped. The wolf saves her. Later, the wolf is crying so the girl goes to pick some flowers for him. Captured, Killed, etc. The dam BURSTS and floods teh village. The girl tries to save the wolf's corpse but she drowns... The wolf saves her. She wakes up onshore and tries to find the wolf but she couldnt... She screams and cries in the end.
SOME TIME LATER, shes playing in the fields with the wolf watching. The wolf falls and she cries.. "tears of joy" but laughs later. They play together. The page where the wolf is on the left and the girl is on the right is like a page representing where they came from. Girl in village, wolf an outcast. And the true ending is their hands coming together~~~ .
Hope that makes people feel better~ cuz the first time i read it, it left a bitter feeling...
Oh and people say she injured her eye when a wood hit her eye when she tried to save the wolf.
