Do you know a manga that's basically Steel Ball Run, but with more plot in place of the Stand fights? I've never been a fan of JoJo's battle-oriented nature, but I was told to read Part 7 anyway because of its bigger focus on story and characters. I read a few chapters and I admit, I got pretty invested in its narrative... and then it lost me when the first Stand battle was hitting its fifth chapter.

What I want is an action-thriller manga, preferably set in the Wild West (although I'm aware that it might be a tall order, so I'll take other "olden times" settings as well, as long as they don't go too far back), with an engaging story centered around a character on some sort of a personal mission, and with similarly over the top, stylish presentation as the one present in Part 7.
