I read a shonen manga a while ago that reminded me of Fairy Tail. The main character was a giant red monkey who was trapped in human form. His two friends were a bard girl named Lovey (Lavi?) and a water demon boy. There was a music-based monster taming system and a bunch of monsters and whatnot. I just can't remember the name!
