So groups are always looking for more translators. I speak and understand Mandarin Chinese, but can only read and write a little. This product comes highly recommended:

Have any groups out there tried it? Any opinions, recommendations?

@distorted: I feel the same. And my parent's put me up to around 5 years of chinese school, and i can't remember a thing XD.
It was when i learned mandarin @ highschool when i actually started comprehending things.
But my though on this pen thing is that it's.. very interesting, and may be helpful.. but I have my doubts on it doing a 100% good job on scanning all chinese characters. Some of them look strikingly similar, can it detect those differences with a single scan?
I wouldn't buy it though v_v;
Although it's useful, I don't need it.

it's not like i'm gonna spend my own money on that thing. I'm can speak and read mandarin chinese, and my parents are fluent in chinese anyways. I could translate some chinese, but hopefully not traditional, cuz i don't know a lot. (though i could always ask my mom to help... 😕 )

WHAT! lol
It was like $14 a lesson weekly. A trimester was 500-ish and a year's worth was 1.5k.....
so after a few years.... yeah... lots of money down the drain 🙁
It's over 9000!
