it's less of what i wish for, and more of it would be interesting that way.

but, in general i like the name nicholas and nathaniel. i love long names. that you can shorten , of course

I think one of my elementary school crushes' name was nathaniel, and a middle school one was nate.

Those are nice names, but I've become a big believer in giving kids in the same household names that start with different letters - SO much easier to mark whose stuff is whose!

Back on topic - my ideal partner would have similar values (this one covers a TON - views on saving/spending money, tolerance for others, loving kids & animals, etc.), a sense of humor, reasonable intelligence, honesty, kindness, loyalty, and of course the ability to appreciate (or at least happily tolerate) my own little idiosyncrasies. 🤣

I realized that I used to put Kyoya from Host Club as what I think is my ideal partner. But now that I think about it, I admire Kyoya more than I love him. He'd be more of that big brother that I adore.

But I really like the stereotypical black hair, smart, glasses character.

Your husband?

You know, I think that it's a thing that the guy has to be smarter than the girl out there... Israfel said on IRC once that the next generation of women were geniuses. So, it's getting harder and harder to find partners.

Husband? Me?!? Where? 🤣

I don't think the guy would have to be smarter than me, just reasonably intelligent. There are other kinds of intelligence besides doing really well in school, or scoring high on an IQ test; personally I think true intelligence is pretty difficult to measure and if you get hung up on a specific "test" it'll bring nothing but trouble~

ohh. I won't mind if the guy doesn't love his job, and I'd listen to his complains about about his dumb boss, his stapler-stealing co-workers, and his discount-asking clients.

In return, he should be responsible for cooking!

I wouldn't mind the complaints either. We can complain to each other! Fun times <3

And if the guy will cook, all the better!

I think it's reversed now, the girls are the one who look for guys who can cook. So long 1950s? 🤣

As for me, it doesn't really matter if he can't (since I can't cook either 🤢 )

Cookin' ain't that hard nowadays! All you need is a trusty [Lean Mean Fat Reducing] George Foreman Grilling Machine! (best cooking contraption of the century imho / microwaves are overrated) 😀

Specific Religious Beliefs
Confidence
Intellect
Honesty
Kindness
a Love of Animals and/or Children
Loyalty
Money
a Sense of Humor
Similar Hobbies

Hmm, we have to be of the same religious bg, I can't marry someone of a diffrent religion, I just can't. I think confidence, honesty, kindness and loyalty are things people should have in general. (I'm not that confident in myself but I am really kind) So I guess we shoudl balance each other out. Intellect is important, I need someone that I can conversate with. I like children/want to work with children/want to have them so as long as he understands this it's good. Money would be nice since I want to be a stay at home wife or at least have the option. I don't need to be able to role around in money just be stable.

Oh about cooking and stuff. I'm doing more of that now learning how to cook, cleaning more (<3 cleaning!) and I've volunteered with kids and babies since I was in 7th grade maybe earlier. I really want to be a homemaker. If I do have to work it's refugee worker/missionary. So... I mean it's stay home or live in Sudan!

===
I don't see anything wrong with the 50's. Well except if someone told me what I had to do it would be a problem. XD Then I'd be like screw you, I'll work if I so please.

😀

We are working women of the future! Working women do not cook!!!

And because I cannot cook no matter how I try. I'm forbidden to go into the kitchen forever (except to wash dishes), because my mommy said so. 🤣

You should have seen when I learned cooking. It was horrid, the food was nasty, and I never wanted to do it again. Now that I know how to cook I really dislike it. Well, that's why microwave meals and Hamburger Helper are so big now. People work and the time spent to make dinner needs to be shorter and shorter.

My mommy is <3 at cooking. I wish my husband can cook like her. LOL

I wish I can too.. I understand "Now that I know how to cook I really dislike it". I don't hate cooking, but I hate recipes!! They're always wrong!

And I'm sure my future husband would not want me to cook either. Even my brother hated my food. URG (do I suck so much...?)

I don't like microwaves and other unhealthy fast food. So, if my husband is getting those... I'd rather cook and eat that, even if it sucks.
