Now, I'm not talking netorare (because that would mean it's a permanent thing). They don't have to be dating, but have feelings for each other, but the circumstances have her be with this other guy. Maybe an infatuation because he's popular so it's a shallow crush, but she's in love with the MC.

Example: Ginen Shounen

Matataki & Mirai were in love with each other, but she starts dating Koda. He wins her back in the end though.

Maybe the guy and girl have a falling out and another guy swoops in before the MC can reconcile with her. He gets his girl back in the end though.

Can be any genre.

Yeah, I've read Kimi no Iru Machi. It's pretty good. Was actually thinking of using that as another example, but didn't. XD

And if I'm thinking of the arc, you are thinking.

Wasn't she dating the guy sorta out of sympathy because he was dying? Yeah, it sucked for Haruto, but I found that to be a little understanding.

Anyone got anything else?

Yep, all because of a misunderstanding, but considering the circumstances, I kinda get why it happened like that. It was a good story overall though.

After hearing about all that happened with Ruka and Tsuuchi, it's not surprising Koma would jump to that conclusion after he sees them having a good time and then sees them kiss. Even though she was happy because she was talking about Koma and the kiss was forced on her.

Edit: also I accidentally reported your post. Wasn't paying attention and was in the report screen instead of reply. XD
