I give my vote to Teresa the Faint Smile. She is the coolest and most strongest character in Claymore.
I also suspect her to be an awakened being.
Because when she fought against the former number one (Rosemary) awakened form (an abyssal one), she (the awakened) made some remarks which indicates that:
" Teresa: I usually do not to this a lot... But I feel if I don't at least once in a while... I'll forget how to.
.....
" and the end:
" RoseMary: You... Damned... Monster...
Teresa: Monster...That makes two of us.
"

I go with Teresa as well.

And I doubt that she was an awakened being. I thought Teresa was just saying that she usually doesn't use more than 10% of her youki. Rosemary was just calling her a monster because she's so damn powerful.

1. Galatea....especially when she becomes this hawt blind nun and her nun clothes become so torn up during the fight scenes. She's so darn cool and sexy!

2. Rigardes... Claymore manga is so BISHIE-DEPRIVED. For the record, I adore Rigardes cuz he's so cold, distant and yet, DESTRUCTIVE in his Awakened Lion form.

3. Prolly between Isley and Jean.
   Isley is cool for being the #1 Male claymore in his time. I adore his swordmanship and his latent EVIL-NESS. Plus, he's hawt even in his gigantic awakened form.

I find Jean "Cool" cuz she respects Clare despite of the ranks and DIE to protect her! She's incredibly awesome!

Well, in terms of villians, I would say that the guy in the hat with the sunglasses is the kewlest. He's so damn manipulative; moreso than the Abyssals! Also, I think he's friggin immortal. He hasn't aged. Like at all. From Teresa to Claire's generation + seven years. I don't think he's even human.

The dude I'm talking about is Claire and Teresa's keeper from the organization

Definitely Miria; it's not even close.

Clare is pretty cool too though.

At the start/middle of the series? Theresa, hands down.

Now? Well, although we haven't seen much of him so far, I'm liking the bad-ass raki. I was so freakin tired of him being a wimp.

Teresa was hardcore badass. Only watched the show but err.. her

death plot hole was quite gay. Can't believe it. Not only was she the strongest but her personality is badass 😀

I'd go with Miria next. loving her after image stuff > 😀

1. Jeane. She was totally, utterly awesome. And her almost-awakened form was AMAZING. A giant butterfly? oh yeah. Epic. Her twisty-arm sword tactic was ridiculously powerful. And she's got the mental strength to keep herself from changing even while tortured. Now that is pretty cool right there. She's also willing to give up her own life for Clare because she is so loyal. D'AWWWWWW.
2. Isley. First of all, he's all pretty boy one minute, then a giant super-powerful centaur with arms that can turn into any weapon and he just radiates coolness.

I bawwwwww'd when he died. At least, I think he's dead.

3. Irene. She dominated Ophelia with her quicksword using only ONE ARM. I mean... wow. And then she just chops off her other arm like, no big deal, I don't need it anyway. I love her little elf-ish ears. She always keeps her cool, and was totally awesome to Clare.

Did Rafaela kill her? Dear Lord I hope not, that would be tragic. I like to pretend she beat R without EITHER of her arms and is still alive. Wishful thinking.

Seriously, there is not enough love out there for Jeane and Irene.

All the characters are pretty cool, especially the ones who have nicknames... But the coolest character hands down is Theresa of the faint smile. I mean to be able to read Youma energy so accurately that it allows her to know her opponents next move, that's borderline precognition right there and makes her unstoppable. She also has a huge amount of Yoki stored up, enough that it allowed her to counter a fully awakened being (rosemary) with just 10% of her power, the same with Priscilla b4 she awakened and was using like 80% of her power.

Teresa no doubt. Strongest claymore, coolest claymore, favorite claymore. could have killed Priscilla i bet if she just got to release more youki.

second comes galatea. Sexiest blind nun EVER!!!! LOL Most girl characters are ugly in this manga but she isn't ^_^

Clara. Obviously main character got to be here. 😛 her 4 awakened limbs was total badass i loved it. That was one of my favorite "powerup" moments i have read in any manga. I hope she can perfect it and do that whenever she wants.

Then Isley. He was an evil guy but one of those nice ones 😛 . I mean he didn't even kill Raki who was just a weak boy, and trained him to be a badass, plus he was like family to him and Priscilla which i found really really admirable.
