Aria is a new group founded by me on Sept. 22.

Recruiting all positions:

- Editor (cleaner, typesetter, or both)
- Translator (K->E is desperately needed for our project)
- QCer
- Proofreader

Project:

- To Love Our Enemies

I can already clean, typeset, and QC, so I'm in most need to translators (K->E) and proofreaders ( since I'm not very confident in my PRing skills). The raws aren't exactly the best, so some experience is required if you wish to be a cleaner. Photoshop or a program equivalent to it is required for the editing positions.

I don't have tests ready yet, so just PM me, telling me about your experience, any groups you're in, position, activeness and dedication, and some examples of your work if possible.

Hello. I don't mean to be offensive in anyway but it seems like you are not far from just starting and alone. Why not just join another group and come in with a project? They may be able to provide you better raws and could even already have a translator.

Hmmm... may you explain more? And, I don't think you're being offensive in anyway.

Finding a translator for a new group is usually quite hard (more so than guys with releases already). So, instead of starting a new group, you can scout out which groups already do projects similar to your desired one. They may be interested in taking another project they might like. And since they're already an active group, they're bound to have a translator. You, of course, offer your services to them as an editor in return for this project so you're not just pushing another request on them.

Additionally, han files tend to have LQ scans. So, through a scanlation group, they may have sources where they could just buy the series and get an HQ out of it.

I'm not in anyway insisting that you should join us (we don't do shoujo... anymore. And I just checked my usual sources and they don't carry that title). But I am saying you should also consider joining a group as you might get what you seek in a package, and maybe more easily.

I may be sending you off on a wild goose chase in the end. But I just think this goose is easier to catch than the other, ie. starting fresh without helpers already on hand.

Yup, finding translators is beyond hard even after you start releasing. They usually come after they've seen some of your group releases and if they like them. I know that because when I started Evil Flowers I had to wait 3 month till I finally found our first chinese translator, to find korean is even harder as there are fewer korean that know english then chinese and fewer overall XD.
Those scans are pretty LQ, but since you are the editor maybe you know best what you can manage and what not.
Groups you could ask for help are:
Pink Rose Scans: http://www.mangaupdates.com/groups.html?id=3478
Tinte: http://www.mangaupdates.com/groups.html?id=3603
Rosa Negra: http://www.mangaupdates.com/groups.html?id=3625
Oblivious Love: http://www.mangaupdates.com/groups.html?id=3440
Eclipse Scans: http://www.mangaupdates.com/groups.html?id=3217 [they're admin lives in Korea, if you ask her nice maybe she'll even buy the series]
All those groups like to work on HMR's and HYR's projects. Although, to be honest, I really can't understand what everyone sees in those manhwaka's projects. They're styles are so typical. Every single manhwa from them looks the same and has a 99% similar stories with they're other works.
Well, good luck smile .
If you want to open a scan group just for that project I'd say you better go to one of the groups listed above. If you really want a scan group I recommend you to extend your raw offer [as in, get chinese and japanese raws as well]. Trust me, the korean translator will be the last you'll get. I still bless the day when our head korean translator joined us XD.

Thank you ~ both of you were very helpful ^^. So, you mean asking the groups for a joint or something similar?

^ Either ask for a joint or just join the group to help out are some ways. ^^

Also, lol, please leave conversation/discussions out of the recruitment topics, if you'd like to continue, please use the lovely PM function. :'D

Do you need an English proofreader? If you do, I think I'd be able to help out smile
