What about putting the genre, or the main genre, like shoujo, josei, sienen, yaoi and on, on the release page..
I think it can help picking up manga.. 🙄

If I had a fantasy self, it'd be a tentacle monster.

I think that the only problem with that is space constrictions. It would definitely make things easier for me, because I don't like having to memorize which groups scan yaoi only. (Seriously, there must be a huge market on the stuff)

There's the filter function for that...

and I don't feel putting genres on the release page is necessary.
After all, you get to see all info on the manga with just a click...sorry if I sound offensive but, there's a limit to being lazy...

And yet as the saying goes, time is money. And things aren't instantaneous, you know? Also, how do you know I'm not looking for yaoi?

I also prefer comedy in anything I read, as I find anything without it untrue to life.

Ah, who cares, then. I already said how it's actually useful to me anyway. And I agree with the space constrictions, which I mentioned in my first post.

It's just a convenience thing after all. And they could do away with download links or something to make more space.

Doesn't the release highlighting serve this function? You can set genres to appear certain colors. All you have to do is remember which colors mean what.

Lol, I completely forgot about that...never actually tried it out.

Yeah, the colour-highlighting works great to indicate shoujo/josei/shounen/seinen, which is good enough to give me a rough idea of what a series is. And I just filter out the genres I have no interest in. So I don't need to see other genre indication on the main page.

You're right, we probably won't do anything of the sort due to space restrictions on the main release page. Besides, some series have a ton of genres (too many in my opinion). How do we decide which one to show? We can't show them all...

And I was thinking of only putting the main genre.. Like the demographic? or how it's called.. Like I said on my first post- shoujo, jose, sienen, shounen and on...

It's in the user cp together with the filtering function...The check box is for filtering a genre and the color button is for highlighting a genre

All you have to do is remember which colors mean what.

You can always match the colors to the genres (pink/yellow/etc. for girly stuff, blue/green/etc. for boyish-works pretty well for me, though I should swap two.

How about use short form for the genre on the release page like shounen=sh, shoujo=sj, adult=ad and others..
