I just read chapter 371 translated somewhere that reveals:

Jiraiya knows already who Konan is. And Jiraiya has only had one genin team, meaning that Konan must have been the girl who was part of Yondaime's team. There's a possibility that Pein is the last member of Jiraiya's genin team, but it's not for certain yet.

i had no idea it was translated this early, now i gotta go track it down

I actually haven't read the chapter yet... can't seem to find it. The usual scanlators aren't done for some reason with Naruto and Bleach.

just read one 371 too and i was thinking the exact same thing as you. they both call him sensei (atleast pain does) so im thinking theyre the other 2 members of his team that minato was in

I don't think that he'd going to kick Naruto. Probably'll just take Naruto with him. Naruto's goal is not really to beat up Sasuke, but to find him and get Itachi.

he DID beat up the bunshin and I doubt they catch up with the real Naruto.IF then they'll fight since it's 4X4(YAY!Sakura beating the crap out of Karin ] 🙂 )

Naruto let his bunshin get raped on purpose so that he would know where he is.

So I think that it´s quite clear that Pein (Pain) is NOT and never was Minato, but... yes this couple could be the other two of Minato´s team.
Pein(Pain) seems to have quite a few bodies to chose from..."hmm... which body should I put on today..." 🤣 If the former body was a clone of Minato, is this later body a clone of Deidara? Where does he get his bodies 😕
