A lot of yaoi doesn't address society's view on homosexuality. What I mean by this is that nobody cares that the person(s) is why or that everybody is gay. I'm looking for stories that deal with people coming out to those around them, homophobia, living every day lives as gay men, etc.

I looked around in the forums for a topic like this but I couldn't find one. Please give me links if you find any similar topics.

I would prefer multi-volume series' but I'll take what I can get.

Oh well, I think you should definitely read The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese and its sequel The Carp on the Chopping Block Jumps Twice
In both the main character deals with his sexual preference and with the decision of choosing a man over a woman.

why don't you look at non-yaoi? they can be more "realiatic" like Hana Kimi
