Okay, from what I've read so far, the current arc seems to be THE HUGEST and MOST EPIC arc of the entire series. I really can't imagine what will happen after this because it has brought every major character into the battle. Basically all that's left is to tie up a few stray ends and find 'One Piece'.

Of course, I could be wrong and the story could go on for another decade.
Any thoughts?

They still have another half of the world to explore. Luffy's crew is still separated. So. No. I highly doubt it's going to end soon.

I say go on for another decade. There's still a lot of other pirate baddies to deal with. Black beard, the rest of the Yonkou and sometime or other Luffy has to be able to beat the Admirals.

Then the whole Dragon thing... I can see it going on for another decade oh yeah...

yeah, this cant be the end. he didnt meet any of his crew. plus, there're a lot of mysteries. like how all the important people have d. as their middle name. that has to be important.

Didn't last year Oda state that One Piece had just barely hit the halfway mark?

And you say every major character is out in battle, Um aren't you forgetting about Shanks and the 2 other Emperors of the sea?

I highly doubt that One Piece is ending.

The story is likely in the middle, but nowhere near the ending based on the latest chapters.

Until Oda wraps up some important loose ends (the meaning of the D, Void Century, Strawhat reunion, etc), we'll just have to wait for at least another decade before the end.

No where near, more like 500++++++ chapters should be expected. Oda has been throwing hints here and there on how the latter half of One Piece should progress.

Like Luffy's real father Dragon and the other Yonkou. Then, there's everyone "fav" Shichibukai, Blackbeard and the gang. Seems to me like they are up to something.

Oh!! One more thing, Luffy's crew, that's like i dunno, 100++ chapter maybe to get 'em together again. Still lotsa things to do until OP end, man... i hate to think bout it.

I heard that there's still alot of chapters yet to come. I doubt that it will go on for like another ten years though like you said, maybe a few more years though.

There's only one way One Piece will not go on for another 500 chapters. I'm sure I don't have to tell everyone what that is.

if it has to be my decision, I would like oda to draw one piece tell he can't hold the pen.. for more 50 years biggrin

well, according to ANN, he said the story progressed 9/10 of the original story, but he acknowledged that's he half the way there..
meaning that the next few arcs are the last, but it will take many chapters to finish them

probably after the battle, the next arc would be rejoining his friend, affiliating with one of the Younko and with dragon clashing with World's Government trying to destroy them and revive the lost country in the void century..

i would say that this battle at marineford arc is only halfway since it seems to be the climax
and this seperation is suppose to help them get stronger
luffy = to learn haki
zoro = some deserted island for what reason?
nami = to control weather better
nico = build bridgesconfused
sanji = "paradise" lol...maybe he'll overcome his weakness of fighting women
usopp = did they mention him? i don't remember
chopper = to learn more about medicine
franky = idk...some ice land?
brook = i don't remember too if they mentioned about him

you bet... they are all got separated into far corners of the world. and to think that they need to circumnavigate the world... gotta long way to go..

and for ussop... what the, i think they forgot him... but still, he's the best shooter in the story... nobody can beat him on that one...

i believe the story has a long ways to go after the rescue there also finding all his shipmates
but even once they have found them all theres still the problem on how to obtain one piece
im glad its continueing the story has been great is is one of my favorites its long sure and takes anywhere from 1-2 weeks to update but its just great worth the wait
