ok, question about Yumin

okay so i just started reading this like few days ago, im on the chapter about taking over the redlight street. but my question is that how does Yumin become a cop, is it ever explained later in the manga?
i mean
he is 16 when he confesses to her, and she leaves, year later he goes to korea (age 17), and after another year (18) he meets her...so is she the same age as him? if so, isnt she a high school dropout and underaged to be a cop like him?
so basically im just wondering wat is her age and how she became a cop?
overall i like it, but it has imo lot rapes...i mean tht tea-house girl gets raped by like 30 some guys first time and than by like another 3-5 b4 goin to the redlight district...
anyways any info is welcomed 🙂

There is actually quite a lot of her back-story covered later in the volumes, but I don't think that particular bit is covered. Still, on the overall scale of things it is not gonna matter much.

o okay. i kinda figured it wont, but im one of the ppl who has to kno lol. because it jus feels like how can this wrk for her and not him...but if there is more background info, at least thts good.

Her korean records are forged, so maybe that includes her age and accomplishments?
