Yuri with a mom?

Well I'm really into BL with single dads, so I was thinking yuri with a single mom would be cute too... I've never seen it before. They don't have to be a real mom, the kid might be adopted, a nephew/niece, step child?? Hell, they don't even have to be a guardian, I just want a kid somewhere in the story...
PLEASE, no lolicon though
So does it exist? I have a feeling it might be super rare... which is strange because I think single moms are more likely than single dads anyway... but no one seems to think it's moe apparently. T___T ...which says a lot about the world.

You could also try Sailor Moon doujinshi--there are some about Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto raising Saturn.

not many yuri specific single moms come to mind @ the moment (maybe Keikakuteki Mama), but lots of mangas in genres from Karin to boy soprano to Full Metal Alchemist popularly feature the single mom theme
actually in RL i know quite a few more single dads than i do single moms, so it's not all that uncommon... i think popular culture just favors the whole female maternity thing a bit more than the idea of mothers who abandon their children, statistically you could be right though (haven't checked myself)

Well I don't know at least in America I'm pretty sure there are more single moms than dads. Actually I looked it up, according to About.com, "Approximately 84% of custodial parents are mothers, and 16% of custodial parents are fathers" so there you go. It's actually a huge gap! But this is only in America though, I'm sure Japan's stats are different... but I have a feeling they might be similar.
Thank you for your contributions though, I will try them out. I was looking for single moms with yuri though because I'm interested in the idea of a two dad/two mom family.

hmmm, ^_^ dunno if ure still interested, but this topic got me curious so i did a little digging:
I don't use about.com much so i can't vouch for it's reliability other than having great cooking recipies, but on the U.S. government page from the recent 2010 census there are some numbers listed under one parent categories "Table FG5. One" and "Table FG6. One"
i don't pretend to understand everything the tables indicate but it seems of 11,686K single parent households that submitted to the census 15.07% are maintained by fathers and 84.92% are maintained by mothers like you said (i guess the remaining (3,436K families are by grandparents or something to that capacity? not sure b/c grandparent charts makes it even more confusing)
BUT!!! 😛 it's important to note of those 9,924K single mother households a surprising 4,448K had never been married (adoption? teen pregnancy, w/ immature father?, In Vitro fertilization?, etc) and if you look at single parents homes following divorce/separation though the % are very close, with fathers being more likely to take custody at 45.8% over 31.6% in a divorce
quite a bit more of analysis and to be done on these two charts though before any solid conclusions are drawn, (i just made my statement because i can think of at least 3 immigrant friends in this country whose wives left them and their children after committing adultery in the states, so my personal take is that moms where i live are just as likely to be unfaithful as dads) I am curious what the demographic in other countries show though due to their cultures 🤣 although, if i'm the only one that cares i won't bother this thread with it though
