I used to read this manga and I remember what I read very clearly but I can’t remember for the life of me what its called.
The MC is a boy, I think in high school, and he’s technically from our world.
From what I remember he’s physically weak, average grades at school but he loves historical military battle tactics and its basically the only thing he’s good at.

In the first chapter he’s getting off a bus and sees a truck about to hit him. Then time freezes or something and that’s when this demon shows up and offers to save him from his fate if he agrees to become the demon king and live out his life in a parallel fantasy world. He’s hesitant at first because the position ‘demon’ king after all. The demon then reveals his fate isn’t to be hit by the truck at all, it will stop just in time and he’d die of a heart attack instead. Showing him the next day and revealing how quickly he’s forgotten by the world and basically how no one in his life is really affected by his passing. So he goes for it and it turns out the demons aren’t ‘demons’ after all. They’re just another collection of people trying to survive in the world. They would attack people out of necessity to raid food stores because they didn’t know how to grow crops. So their first human demon king was a very poor farmer who’s only talent in our world was growing rice. The others that followed show a pattern our MC fits very good at one thing but that one thing isn’t particularly valuable during their lives in our world. So the demon kingdom is actually a largely modernized civilization and has ceased troubling the human kingdoms long ago. However, they also isolated themselves and humanity just kept growing increasingly suspicious of them suddenly withdrawing and so war is coming and yes the demons can fight but they’re bad at tactics so this our MC is chosen.

Sorry for the length but I really want to find this manga because I never got to finish reading it due to it not being translated. I had it saved in my bookmarks eons ago but those were wiped out a long time ago so I hope someone recognizes this story and I can finally get to read the rest of it.
