School Rumble fighting game for the PC, with expansions that will introduce the new characters as they arrive in the story arcs.

Also a good chance to beat the heck out of Kido with a Fatality/Instant Kill move...

...so that would likely make it an 'M' rated game from the ESRB -.-

And chances are High School of the Dead will get an FPS or Survival Horror game just like other zombie-themed horror games.

Highschool of the dead would be a good co-op action game. Each player chooses a survivor with different abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. Then you'd play through the story mode with a big emphasis on co-op. Like one person drives a vehicle while the other shoots and one is on top of the vehicle slashing zombies if they get too close, but if the driver is too crazy then the person on top will fall off and lose a lot of health depending on how they land.

I wonder if Japanese people play first person shooters that much. Cuz it seems to me that most of them play 2D and 3D button mashing fighter games, weird dating sims, RPGs, and action RPGs. I have a hard time imagining a Japanese person owning an Xbox 360 much less games like Halo 3, Call of Duty 4 and whatnot.

You're absolutely right about their gaming choices. However, you've got to throw Nintendo games into the mix as well, so they'll be playing platformers, wii sports and whatever pikmin is classified as as well.
