Did something Aizen not expect just happen?

he will undoubtedly try to either:

go on to hallow instincts in a blind rage and try to absorb ichigo

have a sudden power rise because he has not shown his bankai (i think)

show the true motives for this whole operation, showing he was a good guy, and he was acting to stop the next villain

there is no way he would escape, Kubo is not so stupid that he would drag it on that long

The fact that Ichigo right now is completely pimp slapping Aizen, undoubtedly means that there is a another greater villain behind all of this...

Meaning that we are going to have sit through all of this again,
Ichigo get owned by someone, Ichigo training, Ichigo owning, Ichigo gets owned so badly he's seemingly killed, becomes possessed by a superior being, complete pwnage, returns to normal, can;t fight due to fear of being posessed, training for final final attack, becoming super ultimate final form, absolute pwnage of final greater villain.

this was just perfect. the only thing is that maybe aizen may become a hollow later to beat ichigo.....but ichigo will have a new mask ready for him.

Can I realy believe this Kubo?It's not an illusion?It wasn't something planned by Aizen?Can I...?

If what we read truly happened,and the things are gonna be worse to Aizen,then you can bet on something like that.......

Ahem.... Anyways... I kind of hope that Ichigo one-hit killed Aizen. Just to be anti-climactic. But it was enjoyable to read this chapter, if only to see Aizen being surpassed.

How long have we been waiting for the day Aizen would be spooked. But now I'm curious to what kind of growth did Ichigo undergo. Did he finally become a Super Sayain? lol
Speaking of which, doesn't the situation have strong resemblance to the Freeza Saga of the Dragonball series. I guess Yu Yu Hakusho isn't all that Bleach took after. Not that it's a bad thing, mind you. 😛

Anyway, I don't think Aizen's done yet. Like skyarsalan said, we haven't seen his bankai yet, so he might pull that out against Ichigo. Though there would be no point seeing how he supposedly "evolved into a being that surpasses both shinigami and hollow..."

Also, isn't it weird that aizen is showing emotion (yelling)? In the past he hasn't done anything more then smile or sneer. When did this personality change come about?

Because tricks (i.e. illusions) aren't suited for self proclaimed Gods. Once he starts to get his ass handed to him, I'm sure he'll resort to using it.

I wonder if Kubo seriously forgot about Yammy and company back in Hueco Mundo if he's having Aizen fight already. I mean, it would makes sense that every weaker enemy (i.e. everyone not named Aizen) fight (and subsequently lose) before going to this ultimate fight. Unless fighting Yammy is the true "final boss" of this arc, which frankly sounds ridiculous.

I guess it's not surprising that Ichigo now looks to have super hax abilities. I mean, the only way to beat someone who has super hax powers like Aizen is with super hax powers. Still, it looked pretty cool. And it's looking more and more like Aizen isn't going to be the end of Bleach, unfortunately. We haven't seen Unohana's Bankai, and KT supposedly said that he planned to make Unohana's fight special. Also, we haven't seen Shunsui or Ukitake's Bankai. It would be an injustice if after introducing Bankais, and insinuating the strength of those three, to not show us what they're capable of. So, either Aizen increases his hax powers exponentially, or there is going to be a new enemy after this. Both seem very likely now.
