If you don't count the demo then no. I do not enjoy horror games at all and there are a ton of games to play even without playing them.

The excessively loud noises and the over the shoulder camera give the game an added fear factor...
Other than that, I don't find it any worse than Doom 3.

yep, it has really GOOD graphics and some good soundfx/background noise: but beside those things, the story is a bit trite and overused, and the gameplay is quite linear. Not this much fear anyway (my friend instead is so scared that misses while shooting point blank XD), nice atmosphere though. Maybe i expected something more from this acclaimed title, anyway its good. Average 6-7 out of 10 for me.

It was a good game. It was constantly creepy but there weren't many surprising scares (once you got used to the necromorphs coming through vents). I really liked the HUD and the perspective (over the shoulder).

i played it.. but stopped because i could never play undisturbed.. it will just ruing the gaming experience..

the game is quite scary in the beginning.. now that i got the big guns, come at me yer frickin' alien zombie!!!

and.. the extra fear we get is by the sound.. i turned the speaker off until i get to chapter 2.. it's not so scary after that.kinda made me yawn really.. except when they suddenly appear from point blank, and i got surprise, my aiming went off... so.. no more shooting.. ima hit 'em and step on 'em.

I already finish it. In normal all the bosses suck, but in hard is an other story. This game is very psicologycal. Scary final. This game rules.

I've watched my cousin play bits and pieces of the game and I jumped and screamed in surprise at a few parts where weird alien come out. I hated that alien that regenerated, scared the crap out of me. So far of what I've seen, the game is good.

I really like the way they pulled off alot of the different systems for Dead Space, adds to a fun play.

is it a good game? i thought about gettin it but instead i got RE5 and Godfather 2.
