Hello folks.
I think with nearly 3000 Members registrated, a very big part of them are people which don't show any interest in this site, rather they like a fast source for finding their favourite manga.... 😔
But I think you are happy about everyone who works here with a little bit of seriousness. 😀
So, at first, this is a great site, I was on a few forums before this, but none of them was so good like this one (let's stop here with the honey-around-the-mouth-thing)
Maybe you already noticed, english isn't my mother tongue, I'm from Good Ol' Germany. I learned english in school, but now, after 3 years of watching subtitels in animes and reading scanlated mangas, I learned more than in 5 years school-english (I got an A or 1 in my certificate this year 😁 )
So, my fingers got numb from this fast tipping, if there are any questions, don't hesitate to ask me!

Hello. Wow, I can really tell. First of all you don't use slang, second your English is the Proper English. Learning English from Cartoons, interesting.

Don't alot of people pick up a little bit of Japanese from watching anime? I'm assuming learning English would be a tad easier since it is somewhat similar to German right? Too bad learning Japanese or any other asian language is so much harder...especially the written part. Damn characters 🙁

Welcome Shono.
Right lamb, but Shono is actually roughly right (I don't know how! haha). We have only around 3000 active members. Most people sign up and then never come back.

Many of us are not native English speakers, but we manage. We often show more respect for the English language than many native speakers.
It all started with cable TV and Cartoon Network for me when I was around seven years old. Toon-english-learning-power ftw.
Welcome.
EDIT: Ares, I don't know if you have noticed, but you've greeted this thread's author twice. Age getting to your grey matter?

But Manick, if you look at what Shono said, he said we had 3000 registered members with a large part of THAT number not active.
gluko, learning English from anime subtitles or manga scanlations only works if they have good editors/proofreaders.
