I posted something similar in the main part, but I've looked myself for sometime in mainstream with little luck so I'll post here too.

I'm looking for stories where the hero is in love with a girl who's very close to him, like friends or even relatives, or becomes close to him during the story. But she's crushing on someone else. The hero pursues her, maybe confesses, and eventually she chooses him.

My only requirements are first, winning the girl over should not itself be about sex. They may be friends with benefits, or sex might happen in the process of winning her over, or after, or you could even have the only sex be with the girl's crush before she chooses the hero and their relationship and implied future sex is established. Just nothing where the girl chooses him because he's great in bed or because he's big. Second, no absurd proportions. I'm a fan of petite girls with slender forms; I have no problem with moderate size but there are serious limits. DxD Rias size is barely acceptable, but Eiken size is completely out of the question.

Note: I'm fine if this occasionally goes into NTR territory (like I said about maybe her doing it with her crush), as long as the ending is the hero and his love together and exclusive.

I'll take a look, please keep 'em coming. And I know that there are hentai and borderlines out there where the decision isn't made by sex. Tanaka Yutaka's work is almost always romance culminating with sex. I've actually seen a large number of shorts where a girl finds herself feeling incredible because she's with the one she loves Good example of this is Momoiro Peanuts, which comes close to my aim except that the girl isn't really portrayed as actually crushing on the ultimate guy's big brother (if I remember right), she just likes to screw at first and later is desperate to have someone look at her. At the end she makes love to the younger brother and she's shocked because she's had plenty of partners, and she can tell that he's clumsy and inexperienced and doesn't know how to hit the right spots, but being with a boy she really loves who loves her back feels simply amazing regardless. Basically takes "I love you because you're great" and switches it to "you're great because I love you".
