I wanna ask...which song list is better? disregard the number of songs since i know GH3 has more but the quality of the song lists since i've never even heard of most of the songs in both games...

No. Looking at the list, GH3 has a broader range of rock/metal that I like than what RB has, though they haven't released the whole list for RB yet. I think I know what I'm trying to say 😛

I'm going with Rock Band.

And thats not just based on song list, either.

Rock Band has already announced full albums, including much of Metallica's discogography (Aswell as The Grateful Dead!). Also, even though I have played GH3, and enjoy it, I feel that without Harmonix, it will be missing alot of what made the game fun, such as the in-game rock references.

Rock Band does ship with less songs, but thats because each song has more content, with gameplay for guitar, drums, microphone, and bass.

Factoring in DLC (Download Content), I think Rock Band will be the definitive gameplay experience, this time.

I'll be buying both, but chances are I will finish (or mostly finish) Guitar Hero 3 by the time Rock Band comes out.

you have to have a 360 guitar controller to really get anything out of it. i already downloaded it and tried playing with just the normal 360 controller but it's very hard and just not the same...

Yeah, the guitar controller really does help.

I heard alot of Gamestops and EBGames actually have them hooked up with the guitar controller (The local one did, too).

Yea i tried going to best buy but they didn't have it up as a demo. oh well, i just bought a new speaker setup in preparation for gh3... so you know... oh well. I'll get it for next weekend.

you shouldve included GuitarFreaks! the guitar simulation game that came before Guitar Hero, they're not too hard to find in arcades actually. also i like the songs more in GuitarFreaks since im a jpop/jrock fan, but theyre all good games though,

The options are based on what is avaliable in America, not Japan.

Besides, Guitar Freaks has, to my knowledge, only three buttons. That's rather easy for anyone whos ever played Guitar Hero.
