Looking for bug manga

Thanks to Alimeru the mystery of the lost manga is solved. It was Daniel X. Unfortunately it hasn’t continued past vol. 3 but the good news is it is originally a James Patterson book so I can read that.
So I read this manga a little bit at my anime club in school once but never got to finish it. When I got home I was going to see where I could continue to read however there was just one problem..... my forgetful brain couldn’t remember the title. I tried describing it in search bars but still no luck. It has been a while now, so I might not get everything right yet I’ll try my best to describe it.
The first thing I remember is it was read from right to left like an american book. It also had a title with a giant X on the cover. I’m pretty sure this X was part of the MC’s name. (Possibly the whole title). Now the main character was a bit wierd. I remember him having imaginary friends but thats the part I’m not 100 percent sure about. His parents were killed by some alien bug species and he is now on the run. It reminded me of men in black how they would blend in with people’s everyday lives and only a select few know of their existence. For some reason these creatures are after our MC however I can’t remember why. It was either because he had wierd powers or he was one himself. Again I didn’t even get through the first volume so this is just the very beginning that I remember. I REALLY want to see where it goes but again stupud brain can’t remember the title. Any suggestions or plot you might remember may be helpful so please let me know.

Yes! Daniel X. And wow never expected it to be an adaptation of one of James Patterson’s works. Although I kind of figured it to be American because of the way it read. Thank you now I can finally rest easy knowing I have one less lost memory I need to recover.
