I care about hair color even less than eyes... It is sometimes used as part of plot I suppose, but then again specific hair color doesn't matter even if it is important for plot... (Author could choose any other color as important one and it wouldn't change a thing)

I get tired of the same hair colors and hair/eye color combos being used for FLs and MLs, but I don't have a specific one I want more than all the others. If anything, I have ones I want less, I'd be happy to have more blues, greens, oranges, greys for FLs just to break up the monotony, especially of all the blonde and pink haired FLs.

MLs are significantly less varied than FLs, so I care more about their hair colors. For them I want more pink, light purple, orange, light blue, auburn, and light brown since the predominant rofan ML hair colors are white/silver, black, and blonde, and if pressed to pick one I'd vote for pink, but since in rofan the FL is usually the MC, I voted "Don't care".

While there are one or two I don't like, and one I'm a bit tired of, I don't like one particular colour over most other colours for hair. And different colours suit different protagonists.

I don't know if or how many authors still do this, but protagonist hair and eye colours used to mean things:

Green = envy or jealousy (different concepts but similar enough to be covered by the same colour) Orange = courage (I think)

Etc.

I don't remember all of them. Still, I hardly see hair colour selection the way I used to, and in some cases it makes sense and in others I really miss it.

I'm a jack of all trades but master of none. Too many jars and not enough hands.

I read a lot of manga where colors are just black and white, I couldn't care less about hair/eye color.

Totally agree with this take. I definitely want to see less blonde pairings in traditional romance stories too though. (But I understand why they do that, for art reasons).
