I think the number of chapters should be included in "Status in Country of Origin". If any group is scanlating a manga, it would be much better to have the number of chapters so we can know exactly how close we are to the end. This way, things would become more complete and organized. Also, stuff like extras (or omakes) are to be taken into consideration if this were to be implemented.

I don't know if it has been suggested already, thou I do know some works (most likely webcomics) do have the number of chapters, but my suggestion is to all of them have the quantity.

The "status in country of origin" field is pretty much dependent on what users put in it. Any one can edit that field.

Status in Country of Origin for all published series is meant to reflect the nature of the published volumes, NOT the chapters. So if a series has ended in the magazines with chapter 56 at volume 8 but volume 8 hasn't been published yet, then this field should say "7 Volumes (Ongoing)". It should not be changed to "8 Volumes (Complete)" until the actual volume has been released

The only time chapter numbers are permitted is when there will never be a published volume (like web comics)

Well can we have sub categories in this section. One highlighting the Published volume information and another one Current Chapters. Seeing that both are published when released. this will help when reading mangas and trying to buy them.
