This week's poll was suggested by jacob66. How ready are you for a huge disaster or emergency? Do you have emergency funds in your bank account? Maybe an evacuation plan in case of fire, earthquake, hurricane, etc? Food and water stored somewhere? Maybe access to a nuclear bunker or fallout shelter? Any skills in wilderness survival?

Not at all, I think. To prepare for a major catastrophe means I need a capital source to buy enough emergency survival kit, including food and meds. Currently I don't have that source to invest for emergency supplies, since I still struggle to fulfill my daily needs.

Slightly... No reserve supplies, but growing up in a family where wilderness survival and hunting is more or less a daily chore will definitely be of help. (For the first 20 or so years of my life almost all of the family income came from taking care of/hunting animals in the wild)

Well... It depends on the emergency. For natural disasters and storms, I think I'm as prepared as most people. I have plenty of water and can foods. Mostly because I drink water primarily and I'm a lazy cook. I buy canned veggies so I don't have to worry about them going bad. Plus, I have tons of candles, flash lights, batteries, and I know first aid. No bunkers or shelters for me, I'm stinking it out in my house. 😁

I'm assuming we just mean realistic disasters, and not like, spontaneous planet-wide nuclear armageddon. For things I can kind of expect, like an earthquake or getting hit by a bus, slightly. If there were something that has hardly ever happened, like the snowstorm in Texas and the heat wave in Canada, then not at all. Though, at the rate things are going, maybe I should start preparing for flooding or extreme heatwaves

Natural disasters just require common sense, financial disasters I can survive (Unless we go full Weimar), haven't prepped for much of anything beyond that (Which I need to see about remedying sometime soon).
Depends, but if it's like very major disaster I guess I'm done mmm...
I don't really have any survival kit, even my physical fitness is kinda low right now because of lockdown and stuff mmm...
I will change this world mmm...
So the world can change me mmm...

A bit of water, know where things I should pick are though we probably have about 15 years until another big enough earthquake in the area.
