As long as their are no sexual intercourse, it's fine (At least for Roman Catholics) to have feelings... dunno about kissing, though, it's probably fine. 'Cause it's just the touching of lips (right?).

jesus said that...but jesus also kicked gambles and prostotutes out of a church...the qute is meant to stop people from prosecuting others not to stop people from standing up for what they believe in and thier own truths
Alright, say my beliefs dictate that, for whatever reason, your beliefs are wrong and that's the truth to me. Now, say I am entitled to stand up for my beliefs by voting against your right to practice your beliefs, with the objective of banning certain aspects of it. Now, look up the definition of prosecution, then stew on that for a while.
my argument was to put down some one missquoting scripture. He said he who is without sin cast the first stone. That quote is meant to stop the persecuting of people. Not allowing gays to become married in a church is not a form of persecution. Here is the difference. Stoning to death causes death. Not being able to get married does not cause death. Get the picture? And on top of that Church is not something done with ones self. It is a community and church itself means society. I'm not trying to convert you guys and what you do with yourbeliefs is your own deal. To each his own. But infringing upon my beliefs and allowing gays to be married in a church is wrong because it bends the laws and if the laws were meant to be bent they would not exist. and Voting against my beliefs so that i could not practice my religio...yea that would not be considered persecution so you can vote all you want...but when it crosses the line when people are murdered and thrown in jail thats when it becomes a form of persecution.
What do churches have to do with marriage? People get married all the time, not necessarily in a church. The term "marriage" is not exclusively used in terms of Christian unions, so don't presume this is true. In so far, no one is voting against your beliefs, whatever it may be. The majority of gay marriages do not occur within the confines of religious facilities.

The only reason gay couples want to get married is for the tax benefits, so no for me, I don't believe that crap about wanting to declare their love for each other don't need to get married for that. As for moral reasons ive got nothing against homosexual couples there are more important matters to deal with right now.
There are only 10 kinds of people.
Those who know binary and those who don't.

Really?
Really?!
wow, didn't think anyone here would bring up the tax breaks, cause most people here are not that ignorant to think all they want is that.
i think it has more to do with being treated equal, everyone deserves to be equal in this world, sure, there will always be exceptions to that, but for the most part, it has nothing to do with god damn tax's.
Yes, it could be proved another way, but after so long, thats the only thing left, and as sad as it may be, is marriage.
I do not support marriage, but everyone should be happy, and if that does it, then go for it 😀

I don't agree with it, but at the end of the day theres alot of stuff I don't agree with. I wouldn't advocate it, but I wouldn't vote to ban it if it was on a ballot.

You should know that marriage has other benefits that are arguably a lot more important than tax rates. The ability to make decisions for the other person during hospital stays, for example.
Tax breaks are a benefit, yeah, but even if that was the only reason, is there any reason to deny a person that because of their sexual orientation? I mean, if you have nothing against them, why not just give them the same tax breaks?

Hmm you all make good points, but really why does it matter to you if Joe and Steve next door like each other more than normal? I mean it's not like they're breaking into your house and tying you down for "extra pleasure." We all should just mind our own business after all, it's not like Joe and Steve's "intimate relationship" is causing you extreme agony. If you think they're going to hell, they probably don't believe in hell. But the point is, why are people so strongly against same sex marriage? It's not like it affects them in any way whatsoever if they're not homosexual.

All the people have the right to marry. If someone tells me that this is not true and that homoxessuals don't have this right I will cry: "Don´t touch me your discusting homophobic!"
It´s a pitty that some contrys don´t allow this (beganning with my contry) but I know that one day this will be allowed.
Why protect them? Why miss them? Why love them?

well why shouldn't they get married?
my sister thinks it's disgusting, i think it's great.
as for the thing with taxes and stuff. Sometimes married couples get less money benefits then single ones, so -shruggs-

This is also on the lists of things I don't care about. The government has no right to prevent anyone from partaking in Holy Matrimony, but the church does. If they want to get legal marriages, I couldn't care less. It effects me in no way, shape, or form.
