I think gay marriage should be allowed. Because they're going to be together rather they get married or not. So it honestly doesn't change a thing. Them not being married isn't going to seperate them, so there shouldn't be a problem with marriage. On another note though, I am against marriage, straight or gay, because it adds a lot of stress about money and such. It also changes the relationship completely and builds up tension. But since it does exist, then might as well let people marry the same sex too.

I'm strongly in support of hot lesbians getting married. The rest I'm indifferent about. I don't quite see why it's something people need to concern them over though (since, yeah, the gay people are going to be together anyway). Personally, I think a person should be able to marry any other(s) they want so long a there is clear consent and understanding from all parties.

In the time of Native Americans, the homosexual people were looked at as a great part of the community. I forget what it is exactly that they did, but in some cases, they were actually revered. But then again, many native cultures were much more different and much more universalist and accepting than European cultures (which is essentially where American culture evolved from).

Anyways, the point I'm trying to make is that homosexuals are people too. I was born and raised a Catholic, and I'm glad that I never gave into the talk about gay people being immoral. I'm not one to bash other people's beliefs, but I just can't see any logic in people hating gay people (as well as racism and sexism).

Honestly, there is one thing I never could grasp. Jesus, in the Christian religion, is looked at as this great spiritual leader who showed kindness and compassion to everyone, including those who were looked down on by society (your lepers, tax collectors, prostitutes). I haven't heard any mention of Jesus encountering any homosexuals, but based on how he lived his life, is it really conceivable to believe that Jesus would have rejected a homosexual. I think it's absolutely preposterous to think that if you are a Christian.

I've only studied slightly the Islamic religion and Mohammad, however, Jesus also plays a major role in the Islamic religion. He is still looked upon as a spiritual leader, and I find it hard to believe that any Muslim would look at Jesus' life and be able to justify hating and discriminating against homosexuals. Not to mention that I have yet to hear any mention of Mohammad spouting hatred against homosexuality (it's not in his nature).

I only heard of this slightly, but apparently, homosexuals have some sort of imbalance, or at least different kind of hormone structure, or some thing like that. The reason why I'm brining this up is what if 10-20 years down the line, they can further this study, and what if they discover that babies are actually born homosexual or heterosexual. If it turns out that you really have no choice in becoming one of the two, how can anyone possibly justify discriminating against either. If that were the case, you'll pretty much be condemning a person at birth, and that's just not right.

If two people love each other, no matter what their sexual orientation is, they should be given the liberty to get married. Hell, I won't be surprised if marriage itself changes over the next few decades because it's not like us heterosexuals are doing such a great job at it (50% divorce rate, hmm...).

but seriously its partly due to the internet that people have become desensitized to sexual aberrations and i think that is a good thing. it sucks being lonely so we need to find pleasure where we can, hopefully if we can, and it's really no one's right to judge us unless we are directly violating someone else's pursuit of happiness.

I do find the physical act of homosexuality disgusting. But as long as they keep it behind closed doors why should I care? Not like it's hurting me. Give me one good nonreligous reason why they shouldn't be married.
