I mean on the other hand, I've noticed I've felt sympathy for female homosexuals (lesbians) and bisexuals, because their sexual tendencies are usually results of sexual abuse by men.
This type of thing is common, but only in fiction.
I actually met a lot of girls dealing with this, so no, its real.
The fact that it exists doesn't make it common.
Well, then, I apologize. I really have no true knowledge of real gay men, I just know they're not much, if usually not at all like real gay men.

If two people really want to marry each other, why shouldn't they be allowed to?
also, is there actual evidence proving Isaac newton's homosexuality?

Doesn't look like it... It's mostly speculation... not like my 15th president.

this should be a non issue. If you bring religion as an argument against same sex marriage, start following all the other looney rules, suggestiosn or whatever in your holy books first.

I don't think it's anyone's business who people decide to marry. I believe most people that are against homosexuals marrying are too nosy and need to mind their own business.
For the pole you shouldv'e used Socrates instead 🤣

Well, here is my thought. I am not sure if gay men truly "love" eachother since, well, I have known many homosexual men to be there just for the attention and... cough easy sex and that another man will better understand what sexually feels good. cough I have also known many young gays who are sexual deviants. (I apologize to the few male gays who are not like this, I am a straight girl who draws yaoi fan-comics, and has no interest in the gay community.)
I understand that you have no interest in us, but really, it's kinda offensive that you assume that no gay couples can love each other like a straight couple can. I'm currently in a relationship with another man, and I'd describe the connection we have as love; I'm certainly not just in it for the sex. Not all of gay couples really love each other, but those are the ones that don't last very long, certainly not long enough to get married. It's not like all straight couples do either... if you've ever heard of pimps, you know what I mean. It's up to the individual to decide if they love their partner, not the government.

Exactly.
The governments only job should be te uphold order in society and provide a range of social services to assist it's subjects and ensure a prosperous society.
A government should not busy itself with the moral welfare of it's society, that is something it needs to work out itself. Stuff like prohibition of same sex marriages is only supported by religous zealots who fear moral decay, and the apocalypse as a result. There is no rational argument to prohibit same sex marriage, only moral, which is highly subjective. Honestly, I see no difference between these christian zealots enforcing this kind of religious law giving and sharia law. Both are backward and ancient systems from a time people thought the earth was flat and everything was made out of fire, water, air and dirt. Get with the times.
Edit: @shea07: Socrates wasn't gay, he was greek. Everyone had sex with everyone, supposedly. There was no distinction made between people that preferred sex with the same sex or not. People just liked having sex, alot. People still do, shows you how far we really got in 2500 years.
Now DaVinci, he was likely homosexual. There are several letters and other stuff to support that, but it's still not very certain.
Foucault might have been a good example, he most certainly was gay, though he did die of AIDS, so maybe not the best spokesman.

And must surely perish. - J.W. von Goethe

I all for banning the word marriage altogether just simply because of the high divorce rates going on, and the way the word was initially meant to denote has long since been extinguished.
Realistically, marriage is to express procreation. However, given many heterosexual couples do not engage in this practice anymore, the argument is consider moot.
My philosophy is for the government to recognize it as unions, while society could recognize it however they want (marriage, civil union, etc.) It would vary from per to per depending on their beliefs. This approach takes away all arguments from both parties, and best of all, all of them would just shut the heck up.
There is a simple solution to every problem; finding the simple solution is the difficult problem.

Exactly. Young girls were expected to protect their chastity until marriage, so young boys were seen as opened game. All of Greece practiced this...It was even a key part of the Spartan military system. Even Zeus had Ganymedes, his cup bearer...Hera was always jealous of that poor kid.
Anyways, I know several married people who want to keep same sex marriage from happening, but I still don't see what the problem is. I'm of the school of thought that two (or more) consenting adults should be allowed to do as they please. I honestly could not care less if you want to marry another guy, two girls, your cousin, or all of the above. As long as you are not hurting other people or their interests, the government should not stop you.

Oh, I was not at all trying to offend anyone. I was just thinking out loud. I understand that I was being rude, and I apologize. I'm just not gay, not do I associate often with gays and bis on a regular basis. So I'm sorry... >_<

I don't want polygamy for the very reason that shows like Jerry Springer will suddenly start poping up again.

I'm clearly for same sex marriage since I had one myself 😛
So tell me, what's it like living in a constant haze of stupidity?
