Probably some DDoS's being sent to you.

Well, still works for me as of yesterday.

Distributed Denial of Service attacks generally don't just get sent 'your' way. Unless you manage to piss off some brazilian and you give them your static (if you got it) ip...

No this is more likely DNS related as it is not an isolated incident. I am referring to http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=14102

The Open DNS thing at the 5th point to try is http://www.opendns.com/
and it involves changing your connection settings in a way that you have to get it correct in order for it to work. In a worst case scenario you might bungle your connection settings and will have to get someone to set it right for you to be able to get online at all... if you have no experience with this at all...

Also depending the environment you are doing this in you might not even have the administrative rights to make these changes...

DNS stands for Domain Name System, to put it simply it is like a phone book. And all the websites on the internet are actually numbers, but through this phonebook all these numbers get associated with names, such as mangaupdates.com. But for some reason some times some of these phonebooks don't get updated, or get tampered with either by poisoning by malicious people or ISP looking to squeeze some more bucks out of you, or some other whatever reason...

or something like that, don't quote me on this...

anyway, OpenDNS is supposed to be a safer and free alternative to the other phone books supplied to you by your ISPs.
