This is a specific series that I used to read a few years ago but forgot the title of.

It's not one of those popular ones like Reimei no Arcana though...

It pretty much starts when a human army comes to the village of the MC. This village is only populated by half-humans (look like humans but got animal ears and some can shift into animals). Those humans treat them really badly and order them to support them in their war against another country (I think).

The MC is a fighter and decides to join to protect her people.
There's a lot of hate going around but also a romance growing between a human general(?) and this half-human girl who got lots of backbone.
