in the past few days the site has been offline, giving the
"Fatal error: Call to a member function db_close() on a non-object in /var/www/vhosts/mangaupdates.com/httpdocs/user/Functions.php on line 2035" and "This site is currently offline for maintainence. Please check back later." messages.. is it intentional? cuz i havent seen any notice about it, and currently, even though the main page and forums work foe me, the releases page is still offline >_>

Yeah... it happens rather often for me too... although at irregular times - or at least, I don't really notice the time...

I hope it'll stabalize though... are they upgrading the server or something?

That happens for me as well ._.
It redirects me to some search engine and when I click on the link, it says it's not found O_O

For anyone that's curious, what was happening is that we've outgrown the Mysql MyISAM table. Basically, people would come to the site, and the error was that there were too many connections. I've switched over some tables to InnoDB, and I'm hoping we don't have any more problems. The reason it happened between 12-1 pm is because those are peak hours, so there were lots of people.

Let's see if this works...

Congratulations Manick, for having the site grow to a level that such an error would even occur.

It just came up with the "offline for maintainance" again.

...

Not that big of a problem though, as it came right back up again (the site that is)

I'm still watching it. There are some other things I'm going to need to optimize as well.
