Question About A Novel That I Need Answered!

Can someone pretty please tell me if the web/light novel "Kuro-No-Maou", which has the tragedy tag on another sight, ENDS in tragedy, has a tragedy such as dearest lover dying or something similar part way through, or simply has a tragic backstory/beginning that comes up now and again.
I need to know before I start reading as I hate true tragic endings, and can only barely tolerate loss of loved ones! 😔
