Hello. Sorry if this is a dumb question. I've tried searching everywhere on how to disable this but I'm trying to check the list of series in the site (ordered by rating, but that doesn't matter).

My problem is, some manga is showing their Associated Names instead of the real title, English or Romaji, it even shows some in French, Tagalog, Russian and German also probably.

Is there any way to stop this? I've checked all ways in the settings but I haven't found a way.

I just want the list to look to display manga titles in English Official Translation or in Romaji, anything is fine. It's difficult to find manga in the series list when there are other language shown.

Sorry if this has been asked already but when I tried to search, there are way too many result that isn't really related to my problem. Thanks for the help.

Seconded! Happens to me as well and it's not fun 🙁

My list of series info ordered by rating shows (for example) the first three series as "Avare", "Alchemist of Steel" and "Ang Ating mga Masasayang Oras" instead of "Vagabond", "Hagane no Renkinjutsushi" and "Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan" which is super confusing.

Hi,

The alternate titles should only be shown when you're searching by title. If you are viewing in any other way, it should only show the primary title.

Is that what's happening for you?

Thanks for the reply. Here's what I do to make this happen:

From the home page > click "Series Info" on the sidebar > then on "Order by", I click order by "Rating".

Then from there, the display of the manga titles vary wildly from the correct English title, Romaji of the original Japanese title, French, Filipino, German, yeah, I don't know what languages all those are but one thing I'm sure is that it is pulling whatever is on top of the "Associated Names" field when you view the manga information.

I believe this also happens when ordering by name or by year, but since when ordering by name first shows some not very popular manga first (and the same with ordering by year because it shows the newest manga), you need to dig a bit before manga with weird displayed titles shows up.

I think it's a common use case to list all manga by rating when finding a manga to read, so I think this shouldn't really happen, or at least, it would be really helpful to have an option to turn off displaying titles in their associated names.

Thanks.

Yea, this is a bug. It should only show alternate titles when using the letter and/or search option. Thanks for reporting.

Thanks again for the reply!

Maybe I was the problem after all. I didn't know that clicking on the "Series Info" link on the sidebar defaults to it with the 'letter="A"' option in the link. I only noticed it when you mentioned it on your reply. When I click the "ALL" link, now it displays as expected. Sorry about that! Although I think clicking the Series info link in the sidebar shouldn't have the 'letter="A"' option by default.

Thank you for your work on the site.
