summary:
sympathetic terrorist website Instructs Mujahideen in Using Popular U.S. Web Forums to Foster Anti-War Sentiment among Americans. their methods are to pretend to be Americans and post materials that turns public opinion against the war. The site instructs them to post videos of American soldiers killing civilians and other crimes. They are also instructed to pretend to be Americans with family/friends who fought overseas and who suffered such as committed suicide so as to turn public sentiment into hate for the war.
excerpt:
"You should invent stories about American soldiers you have [allegedly] personally known (as classmates... or members in a club who played baseball and tennis with you) who were drafted to Iraq and then committed suicide while in service by hanging or shooting themselves..."
"Also, write using a sad tone, and tell them that you feel sorry for your [female] neighbor or co-worker who became addicted to alcohol or drugs... because her poor fiancé, a former soldier in Iraq, was paralyzed or [because] his legs were amputated... [Use any story] which will break their spirits, oh brave fighter for the sake of God..."
Just wanted people to know that this war is also being fought electronically thru the internet.

i think your kinda missing the point here its more like people are trying to use the full potential of the internet. sure its nothing new in the fact that misinformation and propaganda have been around since the dawn of humans. but with the internet you really can influence majority of the world (well atleast in countries that allow free access to the web for more then the higher ups.)
my opinion on this article is hell if they can lie to rile the US the US can be baised about what they're doing

This is the dumbest plan ever... Rofl, Who would that actually visits those type of forums, Ever really do anything to pressure the government? most likely they'll just be sitting at their computers thinking, "Wow! this guy is an As*hole, I'm just going to sit around all day and talk about how dumb he is, and convince him that he is an idiot".. see? im doing it right now.

Wow, lol. Just wow. That is disgusting in so many ways. However, the average American they're 'reaching' on those forums will be too busy flaming other people to actually pay attention. And if you hear about American soldiers getting killed by insurgents aren't you going to get even more pissed at said insurgents?

lol sorry, i had a headache when i was summarizing it and my summary wasn't all that clear. I edited my original post.
As for posting videos of soldiers being killed, well it was actually posting videos of soldiers shooting up civilians and other crimes. They're trying to make the public think the war is pointless and only sending young Americans to die so that they'll pressure the gov to end it.
