I feel the "Manga Search" function for the site is kind of weak. Especially since often times I have to use Google to find a baka-updates manga page (unless I do a more -detailed- search, but then why would there be a much more convenient "search" input on the right side of the page if I would always need to further refine the search anyway).

Ex: Eternal Sabbath. If you simply search "es" you won't get it. "Sabbath" won't get it unless you click "See more release results." Eternal... well, that won't get you very near it. However, if I google "baka manga es" it is the first result.
Ex: Eden: it's an endless world. "Eden" will not get you there, and "See more release results" will find it on the 3rd page. Again, google "baka manga eden" and it is the very first result.

This just bothers me, since I'm terrible at remember exact titles and this manga-dedicated site helps me much less than google can. (not to mention, typing "baka manga" in front of my searches is more work, and makes me feel like, well, a baka...)
Anyway. Just a peeve I have with this site is all =P

(or I am using this site wrong? tell me)

General search automatically searches through actual releases by scanlation groups, so if a different series with a similar name was scanlated more recently, those results will come up first. You want to use the title search under the "Other Site Sections" on the results page.

A general search for "ES" will get you every single release with the letters ES together, in either the title or the scan group's name. (696 pages of results!) But if you search for ES as a series title, you'll get one page of results, and it will be titles only.

Hope that makes sense?

That's why there are different search options.

Such as the title search option, mangaka search option and scanlator search option.

You enter the term you want to search, and then continue on to choose the category you want to search.

That makes sense. I just have to categorize my search here; I'll roll with that. haha
Thanks.
