Series search
Is it just me or is series search different somehow...it's harder to find the titles I'm looking for now. Didn't it to used show best results first but now it lists them alphabetically.
I search "full metal alchemist" and I have to go back 5 pages just for it. Also the search method seems to have turned to full text than exact match.

I'm guessing the search used to be a little more "fuzzy?" The space between Full and Metal makes it, technically, a typo as far as exact search is concerned, so other series with all three terms on their pages get priority.
And yeah, it seems to be less, not more efficient than before. I wish the search by genre was easier to get to, and had the option for a keyword or two.
Keyword searching is different too, I think?
When searching for words like "board" it used to return results for "boarding" as well. Same with "novel/novelist" and the like. Not that big of a deal, but some summaries use either novel writer, or novelist; the latter is obviously the correct term.
Or maybe it was always like this. O_o

Yah, I noticed it too... started a couple days ago, I think. Searching for anything in Japanese characters will just get you a huge list of stuff... I think it's just a list of every single title in Japanese characters in alphabetical order, which is not helpful.
Also, now the search works more like a generic search engine, I think, in that if you type two words, it will give you results containing the first word or the second word, not just results containing both words; and also in that searching for stuff in quotation marks gives you results containing exactly what's in the quotes (Before, didn't there use to be some fancy thing like putting terms in quotation marks searches for the general subject or something like that? I never really understood that, so I can't truly say that that's broken, but chances are high that it doesn't work anymore.). And, everything seems to be organized in alphabetical order, as opposed to order of relevance, which is how it was before.
A problem with searching for things using the quotes I've had is, when you go to a page other than the first of the results, something goes wrong and the results list changes to containing lots of titles with quotation marks that seem completely unrelated to the search criteria. And since things are in alphabetical order, this is a problem if what you are searching for brings up a lot of results and is toward the end of the alphabet. You can usually think of a way to work around it by cleverly crafting the search criteria, but it's a hassle.
