a pretty bad development for a shounen manga i think. Good thing he's dead. He deserved it for being annoying i guess.

Man, you read my mind. Seo gives his characters a complete change of personality and character just to push the plot and cause a conflict. Seo is a good artist but not much of a writer. I prefer it when the conflict is more believable and realistic.

It's quite simple... It was the reason why Haruto and Kazama were "fighting." Yuzuki was already dating Haruto and already showed her feelings for him countless times. So why would she leave him? She found out that her dear friend was dying. Feeling a sense of guilt, since Kazama showed plenty of times that he wanted to date her, she wanted to show him off. It's also the big reason why she never really pushed the whole surgery issue with him and let him live a tad bit longer but die instead of a possibility of living until he is an old man. Why Seo-sensei won't ever admit this is because there can never be a bad main character in one of his series. (dating someone out of pity is pretty horrible)

The reason is pretty simple. Author wanted to stretch the plot as far as possible and that stupid development was the best he came up with at that time
