From what I remember the story centers around a middle/high school girl who, along with 5 other childhood friends who see hasn't seen in many years, turn out to be incarnations of different paths of suffering (I believe. she was the Hell or Asura path https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desire_realm#Deva_Domain). Together they have to defend against some sort of evil. They end up boarding together.

She has a crash on one of the boys, who I think was the incarnation of the path of God/heaven. One of the other boys of the group likes her and often quarrels with the boys she has a crush on.

Another boy in the group can make himself younger. One person could turn into a beast.

When she "first" awakens he kinda has a split personality which have may later taken control of her body due to a negative shock from her crush.

I also seem to recall that the art style kinda reminded me of Arina Tanemura, but I don't believe it was done by her (from what I could see from her works), but I could be wrong. I am pretty sure the translation wasn't finished as well.
