Rapidly losing hope for this series... The work seems very sloppy and the stench of (future) plot holes may soon be overwhelming.

I'd have to disagree. The pacing has slowed, but hopefully that is just this arc because of all the characters being brought back for their time skip highlight. I think Bleach and Naruto have corrupted our view on such long series. Mashima has been really good with the plot in terms of foreshadowing and explaining things. We might not get an explanation right away, but it will come when it needs to come like a good story does. Not everything needs to be explained in a single arc.
What plot holes have you seen so far that makes you worry?
