Ok, so I finished the 5th book in the series the other day and the ending made me want to talk to some people about it, but the bad thing is is that nobody that I personally know reads the series. So here I am typing this topic asking this great community if there are any Star Wars fanatics, besides myself, that care about the Expanded Universe enough to know what I'm talking about.

I love Star Wars but I don't think I've read any books from expanded Universe, but I have looked up alot of whats happened in the Expanded Universe, so I think I'll be able to get what your talking about.

The last time that I actually looked up anything about the EU on the star wars database the information wasn't up to date but anyways. If you know anything about the New Jedi Order series you should know that the first book in the series killed off one of the main characters from the movies. Now in the fifth book of the Legacy of the Force series another character is killed off, the person is a main character but wasn't in the movies and was introduced in the EU so you can see that it is important to know something about the EU.

I'm not going to say who because it would ruin the book, but I found it kinda of obvious who it was since they appeared on the front cover of the book. Now that that's aside I find it kinda of weird that the go ahead to kill the character was given since the character happened to be one of my favorite characters from the EU, and they have been very important in the EU. So I was just wanting to get reactions from other fans and to see what they thought about it. I would post who the character is but I really don't want to give the option for someone to highlight the spoiler and spoil a really good book.

As another topic if anybody's heard the new sith lords name what are your thoughts about it?

I've read most of the EU books, except the prequel and the x-wing series. From the new Legacy series I've only read the first one though, so I can't help. I'm up for discussing any other EU book though.

Then does that mean that you read the dark nest trilogy? I was on a Star Wars kick when I read them and now looking back it seems the premise was kinda of corny.

I did read the Dark nest and as with most people I think that they messed it up a bit. In the NJO series they said that the force has no good or evil and it all depends on how you use it, but in the DN they went back to the whole good evil premise and it carries on to the Legacy series.

Granted I only read the first Legacy but that is the feeling that I got, that they "forgot"/"ignored" the end of the NJO series.

I agree that they forgot about the whole unifying force and went back to the simple light v dark, good v evil that has been the premise throughout the entire star wars universe. Anyway the next book in the series, Inferno, comes out in august and is looking to be pretty good.
