Predictions of censored Internet is filled. the first attack on freedom is masked by the fight against illegal content. It will end by prohibiting the pages, which are thinking differently than mainstream propaganda.
It is true that The SOPA is almost dead, the voters hate it. But it doesnt change the fact that ALL sharing servises started to packing up-but to close your business and and nuke their bank accounts is like saying- ups yeah we are guilty and we know it, but please, don’t do anything to us.
The good thing is that we still have torrents.
Current status of the more popular file sharing websites:
FileServe – Closing does not sell premium.
FileJungle – Deleting files. Locked in the U.S..
UploadStation – Locked in the U.S..
FileSonic – the news is arbitrary (under FBI investigation).
… VideoBB – Closed! would disappear soon.
Uploaded – Banned U.S. and the FBI went after the owners who are gone.
FilePost – Deleting all material (so will leave executables, pdfs, txts)
Videoz – closed and locked in the countries affiliated with the USA.
4shared – Deleting files with copyright and waits in line at the FBI.
MediaFire – Called to testify in the next 90 days and it will open doors for FBI
Org torrent – could vanish with everything within 30 days “he is under criminal investigation”
Network Share mIRC – awaiting the decision of the case to continue or terminate Torrente everything.
Koshiki – operating 100% Japan will not join the SOUP / PIPA
Shienko Box – 100% working china / korea will not join the SOUP / PIPA
ShareX BR – group UOL / BOL / iG say they will join the SOUP / PIPA
MegaUpload – Closed
The Megaupload thing seems to have all filehosts shitting their pants, so this complicated many things>
Many hosts are apparently banning entire countries{ especially land of free speach, free will and freedom, the land which I
m really happy, Idont live in >USA}
If you are thinking - "Nah I know many good proxy servers" I have also bad news-
They are overloaded/overused now, so there is no way to use em.
Yup, America, you are done now/f~^c^ked BIGtime.
And if you are ashamed to be an American{like a lot of friends of mine}, don`t be, it is not your fault to live in the country which devastated free anime, movies, music, programms and games direct download services. 😀
Its been fun guyz....

Honestly, did this REALLY need a THIRD thread?
Yes, that's right. There are THREE threads talking about THE SAME GODDAMN TOPIC.

Yeah. They are aren't they? Now that direct download services are in trouble, the whole damn nation is in crisis. That's quite an insight you have there.
I have friends like you. The moment the word government comes out of their mouths, I tune it out because I know that what follows will be mostly unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.
A crackdown on copyright infringement is, in my mind, a good thing. Stealing is stealing, and stopping it does not naturally progress to infringement of free speech. For crying out loud, this is the country where we let Nazis rally in primarily Jewish cities in the name of free speech.

No, we don't need this.
And rants are not allowed, anyway.
