I have recently gone back and reread some of the older chapters and noticed a title of chapter 489. The title is called "The 8th Member" and it's in reference to Brook. Considering it's commonly held that Luffy will have 10 crew mates, it's reasonable to think there would be one after Jimbe. What do you think?

It seems that Jinbei isn't going to be joining Luffy's crew. I would think Oda to have another member with a somewhat painful past, and room for growth but not a Shichubukai.

maybe smoker and his little protoge.... its entirely unlikely but i would fricken love it. his reaction to the promotion after alabaster(sp?) has made me hope he stays around for the entire manga.
