Hey guys this morning I somehow was thinking about sage powers and strength.

First off let's start with a few questions of mine:
Is base physical strength (muscle size pretty much) amplified by focused chakra correspond to the total strength of attacks? This ignores any effects of sage techniques.

I forgot the reasons why tsunade and sakura had such super strong attacks, but if it's because they are better able to focus chakra to the relevant muscles, then that kinda fits. Then Naruto who has an enormous amount of chakra only has weaker attacks because he is less able to focus his chakra to the right muscles. And then take rock lee who has stronger physical attacks than Naruto as well (I think can anyone confirm or deny that?), well he can't use techniques, but he can use chakra on his muscles so either he is better able to focus chakra or has muscles trained to work more effectively as an attack. I think the latter is more fitting, because he also moves faster, which correlates to increased power, which I think is proportional to "attack strength". Also sorry for using strength in such an ambiguous way, but it should make sense.

So then for some reason in ch. 412. Sasuke was able to hold off killer bee from cutting through Suigetsu's sword by channeling lightning chakra into the sword. I can understand if he was able to hold off the cutting by channeling normal chakra into his arm so he could push on Suigetsu's sword, but he channeled his chakra into the sword. I didn't quite understand the significance of that, except maybe if he did it to combat killer bee's lightning chakra'd sword or something. Just confusion here, any halp? Does elemental chakra amplify attack strength even more than normal chakra? I think not, but maybe that's wrong.

Also it ch. 412 it was revealed that you have to have enormous amounts of chakra to be able to learn sage techniques. Who else has enormous amounts of chakra? Well I'm sure there is a fairly long list, but one of the nin that come to mind was Kisame. Furthermore Kisame is a shark faced monster with enormous physical strength. Well maybe he attempted to do sage training but failed, so he turned into a shark-humanoid. What do you think?

I always thought it was dumb how spiritual energy and physical energy the two main things in the Narutoverse were fairly neutral seeming, but then if you fail at sage techniques you turn into a frog or toad or whatever. But if sage techniques are passed down through your chakra animal (not sure what to call it), but if Kisame had a shark chakra animal then it would make sense that he looks a bit like a shark due to failing the sage training.

Finally do you think Naruto's father learned sage techniques?

Thanks for reading.

It's just a manga, no need to think so far into it 😔

Don't detract from my post's original intention. I spend plenty of time thinking about other things. In addition as I said I woke up and had this thought, so it's not like it took very much time. Anyways, this is a Naruto forum, where I think a Naruto question is apt and a "don't think about Naruto" statement is not. I was considering this and was curious. Any constructive statements are welcome. For an example of something not wanted, see the above post by Rob1988.

Tsk, tsk.

Manga iz srz bzniz.

Anyway.

The part about Kisame is especially plausible, and seems to be more than likely.

When I actually bothered to read it properly 😛 The part about Kisame seemed to make sense 🙂 I was really put off by the whole chakra discussion at the start though lol
