Losing stuff

Yeah it sucks to loss stuff and therefore I'm here to vent. I spent nearly 7 years compiling these stories I never allowed anyone to read because they were never finished. The other day I dropped my laptop, in which these stories were typed, and organized, stories I'e been slowly fine tuning. Any who I thought I had backed up everything form said laptop onto the USB. I sent in my laptop yesterday to get fixed and everything on it will be deleted. Now you may be wondering where the hell I'm going with this right? Well I'm getting there, so now I'm on my sisters desktop scrolling through my documents that are supposed to be on my USB are gone. Yeah gone forever 7 years of hiding from my mum to scribble a few lines of my masterpiece lost to th world. Woe is me, sniff sniff Well, lets hear your story of something you lost! 😀
I don't use "bad" words, I use SENTENCE ENHANCERS.

Just a few days ago my external hard drive just shut down on me and wouldn't boot up. This HD contained about 700 gigs worth of files on it, which I have been compiling for about 3 years now. I tried to fix it for the whole day but I concluded that it was an internal problem and that the HD was basically fucked to shit. So I bust out my old 500 gig HD that served as a backup for most of the files that was on the broken HD. It was working well when I plugged it in and I just thought to myself, "Thank you oh sweet baby Jesus". Next thing I know, this HD breaks down on me as well, literally 5 minutes after I plug it in. I was ready to punch holes into my walls. Thankfully, I managed to save the 500 gig HD and am getting my first HD replaced(actually got lucky due to the fact that my warranty on it was just about 3 weeks from expiring)... So yeah, that's my little loss story.

I believe there's already a thread for that.
As for me, I never really lost anything of real importance. I just have a lot of nothing that gets misplaced occasionally.

I tend to loose a lot more things, not really so much information on my computer (but it has happened please don't happen again) One time, it was in the middle of winter I got really hot when I went into a club meeting so I took off my jacket and put it on the chair. Since I tend to be forgetful, I left the class room and than I started to think about my classes (I thought that I took my jacket with me to my locker). So I assumed that it was in my locker (this was a few years ago when I was in grade 9). After class was over I went back to my locker, expecting to see my jacket but it wasn't there. I of course panicked and started looking everywhere for it because it was cold outside and snowing and I had a bus to catch. So I looked everywhere and it wasn't to be found (I don't know to this day where I left it, I assume it was in the classroom where the meeting was but it wasn't there and I could have sworn that I'd left it in my locker.) I went back to the room where we'd had our meeting and of course it was locked so I went and asked a custodian to unlock it and than I searched and it wasn't there. So in the end, I lost my jacket, my money and my bus pass which was all in my jacket. (The Bus pass and the jacket where both expensive ... I lost a lot of items that year. 😢 including a bag of ten library books which cost more than 100 dollars. 😔
If we're talking losing stuff on the computer, there was this one time I was doing this math project, for hours, making it look nice and stuff, and just as I go to save, Word just went "No" and crashed on me. Luckily I had saved the skeleton of the project, so I just had to plump it out again, but still, time consuming. I still don't forgive my computer for crashing on me that time D:< (it was due the next day as well. It took me all night -__-)
Losing stuff in general...well...I don't realise I've lost it until I try to find it and realise it's not in the place it usually is. Then I just can't work out where on earth it can be. Very fustrating situation.

well, just a couple of months ago my girlfriend surprised me by giving me a muffler that she made by herself. She told me that it ook her ages and i was surprised because i knew that she was pretty useless at that kind of stuff....cooking, knitting etc etc but she still put in so muh effort to make me one. Well so she gives me the muffler and a couple of days after i lost it, i think i took it off on the bus and just fogot to take it with me when i got off and I felt so stink afterwards when she asked me how kum your not wearing the muffler cos it was winter and had to tell her that i lost that muffler that she like spent so much time on.
