A new character once again makes an appearance. She may not make a huge appearance, but her existance is vital to a future plot!

Chapter 60: Hikari hears someone call her name from behind her while she's facing Kei's grandfather. It's Yahiro. Later when they're both at Hikari's house, they remember how Hikari and Kei's grandfather parted ways. She turned and tripped over herself and kicked Gramps in the head (all an accident^^). Hikari thinks it would be a pretty good idea to find a way to apologize to him. Yahiro helps her throughout the chapter, seeing as he has all the right connections to do so. (There's almost a time when they're caught by Kei, but Hikari's dead cellphone saves them^^) Yahiro then askes her why she's trying to hard. She says something along the lines that everything will be fine if she apologizes. So she makes some snacks to give to Kei's grandfather and waits for Kei to leave. So once he leaves, she sees it as her chance. But then suddenly, she and Yahiro hear Gramps yell from outside. When they get to where he is, some men are trying to hold him back from going into a pond. Hikari is told by some bystanders that it looked like he dropped something in the water. She zooms past them and starts searching in the water for items. Then when she pulls out a giftwrapped item, she looks at the tag and it says, "To Midori". Hikari gives it back to Gramps and realizes that the reason he came to Japan was to give a Christmas present to Midori. She turn away and leaves, and Yahiro chases after her. Hikari says that what she really wants to say to Gramps is to not take Kei away, but finds that that's a selfish thing and says she'll say nothing. After she and Yahiro talk, Gramps comes up again and gives a piece of paper to Hikari with a phone number on it and thanks her. But this moment is ruined when Hikari gives him the snacks she made^^.

Chapter 61: Akira wants to make Tadashi jealous. So she askes Hikari and Kei to cooperate in a little sceme she's planned...a double date! Only Akira will be pairing up with Kei, while Hikari will be pairing up with Tadashi! When Tadashi sees Kei and Akira smiling happily with one another, he notices that they may have smiling faces, but their auras could kill^^. At first he isn't bothered by them being together at all. But as they do more and more together at the arcade and the karaoke bar, Tadashi notices that Kei and Akira are getting along a little too much. (At the karaoke bar, Akira and Kei were comparing Tadashi and Hikari as being completely clueless when it comes to relationships, so they started laughing about it.) Hikari notices that Tadashi is showing signs of jealousy and suggests to Akira for them to stop this. Akira tries once more to make him feel jealous, but he acts like it doesn't phase him. Finally, Akira gets angry, slaps him, and leaves crying. Kei and Hikari tell Tadashi to go after her, so he does, but only to find her playing an arcade game^^. She's talking with another boy while trying to win a toy bird. She says she's going to give it to another guy to possibly make Tadashi jealous. Tadashi watches Akira and this other guy continue to talk. He finally slams his arm down between them and plays the game for her. He looks up at her with a serious look and askes if she was really planning to give the toy bird to another guy. he said he wouldn't be happy at all if another guy came near her. She starts to cry again^^. As for Hikari and Kei...Hikari bows (does a dogenza on us) and admits she met his grandfather...

Chapter 62: It's New Years time. Megumi wants to participate in an event called "The happiness stone event" on New Years Eve and askes Hikari if she'll do it with her. So Hikari agrees to come with her, telling Kei that she's busy for New Years. Sakura calls Kei that Megumi is also not going. Kei finds it strange....But onto the event! Hikari and Megumi arrive at the location of the event. Hikari tries to move through, but falls. Somebody catches her, but the person disappears before she could see them. The announcer explains the details of the event: 12 "happiness stones" will be hidden around the area and whoever finds them will achieve happiness. But first he shoots them out of a bazooka^^. Hikari is on the move ASAP. Just as she's on a roll, a man with a cap starts chasing her. When she finds a stone in the grass, the man zips past her and grabs it first. Some other guys try to take it from him, but he beats them up (Hikari can only watch^^). Meanwhile, Megumi is unable to physically fight for a stone, so she plans to use her singing voice to get one. But Yahiro catches her attempting to do so, which stops Megumi from singing. The scene switches to Hikari. The capped man is standing ahead of her as if protecting her. She then says, "I know your true identity...Takishima." He smiles and askes how she knew. She says he wouldn't allow himself to be defeated, that's how she knew^^. Scene switch again to Yahiro and Megumi. Yahiro ended up beating up men for a stone and makes a wish for Megumi: "I wish people will be able to enjoy your singing more." Megumi then tells him that she was planning to give her stone to him, but he turns and says he can't accept it. As the countdown begins, Hikari throws a stone at Megumi, Megumi turns and grabs Yahiro, and offers it to Yahiro. Yahiro starts to blush a little bit and askes if she's an idiot^^. Meanwhile, Hikari and Kei are walking together. Hikari says that she was planning to give a stone to him to apologize for breaking her promise not to meet his grandfather. Kei then regrets defeating her^^

Chapter 63: A new semester begins. Kei also has lots of work, so Hikari isn't able to see him much. It's on the first day of the new semester that Hikari comes across a boy being violent with a girl he's breaking up with. Hikari punches the lights out of him of course^^. Then the boy askes Hikari if she and Kei are still together. He thought they would be over by now...Later, Hikari just randomly hears Finn defending Ryu's decision to put some salty snacks in with Akira's sweets, saying that they'll get tired of sweets all the time. Hikari plays a strip in her little theater that has Kei saying he's tired of her mannerism^^. Kei snaps her out of her imagination, and Hikari runs away declaring she will come back reincarnated^^. While out studying for a makeover, Hikari sees the same boy from ealier flirting with two other girls. She askes him if he's apologized to that one other girl yet. Answer is obviously no, but Hikari tells him he should. The next day, Hikari comes to school with a whole new look and a new way of speaking^^. Kei can only find it humerous and makes fun of her. Hikari tries other things to make Kei have fun (because she finds that entertaining him will keep him interested). Hikari sees her plan working, but later on, she overhears Kei in the greenhouse. He says "I'm getting sick and tired of her". Hikari realizes that he was talking to someone on his phone and knows it wasn't her he was talking about. Hikari starts to think how she would feel if he really meant that for her...The same boy who she met in the beginning approaches asking if she and Kei still haven't broken up yet. He then shows her a photo of Kei with a blond girl. Hikari first suggest that it's a friend, but the boy tells her that he goes over to the girl's place everyday, suggesting he's getting tired of Hikari. Kei then walks up to them and askes what they're talking about. Hikari turns and Kei sees she's starting to cry. He totally looses ti and starts beating up the poor guy. Hikari tells him to stop and says it's not the boy's fault. Kei and Hikari find time in the greenhouse to talk. He says it's not true that he's going out with another girl or not going to any other girl's house. He then issues another challenge to Hikari: Whoever looses interest in one another first looses. Hikari declares she will not lose this one! However.........Later that night, Ryu and the twins are out eating dinner. When they're done and leaving the restaurant, all three of them see Kei getting out of a car with a smiling blond girl...

You shall all find out who this blondy is later. Ah...since I already know who she is and all...I'll gladly vent^^. I hate her. I simpley hate her. I'm sure all you HikarixKei fans will hate her, but I hate her for a different reason (has to do with my favorite pairing).
