As said in the title, I hope this site could offer an option wherein users like me can follow their favorite mangaka. Like the same feature when following a certain series.

definitely seconded,maybe a feature to create custom personal lists of the mangaka as well?

How interesting, I was thinking of the exact same thing. In addition to following mangakas, a list for following artists as well.
