It could be any genre, maybe it was discontinued, or it took months for an update. I know of a few over that years, that left me perplexed. The most recent is yaoi manga In Good Faith.

Many series by CLAMP, to the point where I don’t care for there stuff at all, but the main ones are Legal Drug (aka Drug & Drop) and of course, X.
I dunno what the excuse is for Drug & Drop, but they dropped it right at the climax. Originally when Legal Drug was 3 volumes long, they said it was like 1/3 done, but then I think they changed their minds because they released 2 volumes of D&D and it seems like it’s close to ending. Hopefully some day they’ll remember it and give it a half-assed ending at least. I just want to know what happens to Rikuo and Kazahaya at the end.

Just about anything from LIM Dall-Young (there's like one or two that don't suck and have an ending). Even the "completed" ones are usually BS because he insists on leaving the original premise and promises of his stories to do something completely different and basically punch all his readers in the gut.
If someone were to tell me he hates his readers... I wouldn't agree, but I don't think I could prove them wrong.
I'm a jack of all trades but master of none. Too many jars and not enough hands.

I remember getting hooked on D.Gray-man back in high school. The hiatuses were brutal. By the time new chapters dropped, I'd forgotten half the plot.
