What's the big deal about: Golden Boy?

Nearly everyone I know suggestive me to read the manga series, but they never explain why. I have skim through the manga and all I see is fanservice. It there a deeper meaning to the series? I don't mind fanservice as long it's not a gimmick.

What they meant to recommend was 'Boku no Pico'.

Golden Boy sucks plainly because you think it does, right? I won't explain it; the comments don't lie. Further, if you think it's bad at the beginning, the common consensus is that it gets worse.
It switches tactices slightly in the middle, but really, if it sucked for you in the begining, it'll NEVER get better. Golden boy... golden showers... Hmmm? Oh... nothing... Nothing at all...
Boku no Pico was a joke. One o' them new-age imter-whatchama-meme-a-bobbers, or what have you. I'd recommend you play Russian-roulette with a fully loaded revolver before watching it. (Note: This is a mild exaggeration.)

unfortunately for me i saw 5 mins of that and i for one dont think you should have a revolver on hand while you watch because you will no doubt use it just to try and erase the images that have diseased you're mind
