Okay so I don't read any shoujo anymore but I need to know this damn title because it was the first shoujo I ever read. If I can't find the title I swear it's going to irritate me to no end...

Anyway like I said it was the first shoujo I read so this is what I remember when I read it years ago...

It's the basic cliche...unpopular girl transforms to pretty girl with the help of the most popular boy in class. The only thing is that he did it as a bet and she falls for him, she later finds out it's a bet when she over hears him and his friends talking about it at school. I vaguely remember a scene where the guy gets beaten up or gets into an accident I'm not sure but he ends up in the hospital. I think he cries and asks for her forgiveness...and they live happily ever after...I think

I suddenly get the feeling that it was a oneshot but I'm not sure...anybody know of it?

hmm..why do I get the feeling dat I've read this one-shot before. I'll check out my leeching stash, I might find it somehow. It really does sound so familiar..

Sorry, I can't figure out the name of that manga. I probably haven't read it. The premise sounds a bit like Perfect Girl Evolution but I haven't read that so maybe I'm way off base.
The closest match I got to your description is "Liar love letters" in Seishun Survival, which is a compilation of one-shots. But I don't think that's the one you're looking for to be honest. In LLL, the girl finds out immediately and there's no hopitalisation. Still, you can check it out.

It sounds like Tongari Root to me and yes it is a colection of one-shots.

kinda reminds me of that Freddie Prince Jr. movie She's All That .....but stuff is missing so yeah...plus its a movie...
